British Parliament awards Anup Jalota
| London, July 17 (IANS) Well-known Indian singer Anup Jalota has been awarded the British Parliament's Annual Globe Award for his contribution to the global music industry. Speaker John Bercow gave away the award to Jalota at a function in the House of Commons. Jalota, who sings ghazals and bhajans, also gave a special live recital on the occasion. Guests were invited to duet with him. Keith Vaz, MP, who organised the function Thursday evening, said: "I am absolutely thrilled that Anup, as a celebrated Indian music superstar, was able to give a live performance for us at the House of Commons.
