Dabanng and We Are Family lock heads!
| By Hindustan Times Mumbai, July 25 -- September will be the month of reckoning for two of Bollywood's biggest production houses. Dharma Productions' We Are Family and Arbaaz Khan Productions' Dabanng are both slated to release on September 10, the week of Eid. Both Karan Johar and Arbaaz Khan are hoping to cash in on the big opening weekend. The promos of both movies released on Twitter. While those of We Are Family were unveiled on July 1, Dabanng's were released on July 22. Initially, We Are Family, Dabanng and Sohail Maklai's Knock Out were confirmed to release on the same day. But Maklai decided to push the release date of his film ahead by three weeks, to October 1. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh agrees that the clash of the titans will make it a tight weekend. "Both the films look terrific and have a great cast. Their promos are making waves. It will be a tough fight," says Adarsh. "The Dabanng promos have become the talk of the town. We Are Family will soon release a promo song that is already in the news," he adds. Sidhharth Malhotra, the director of the Kajol-Kareena Kapoor-Arjun Rampal family drama, which is an official remake of the Hollywood hit, Stepmom, is surprisingly unfazed by the competition. He admits that he has seen the Dabanng promos, and posted about it on his Twitter page: "I did see the Dabanng promo. I've always loved Salman Khan and he's an eternal rockstar, but the two films are completely different in terms of tonality. I'm sure both will be good films and have their respective audiences."
