Dilip Kumar to star in Subhash Ghai's next !
| By Bollywood Hungama News Network Showman Subhash Ghai may be busy giving finishing touches to his magnum opus Yuvraaj, but he is also contemplating his next project. If the buzz is to be believed, Ghai's next directorial venture will have thespian Dilip Kumar making his comeback after 10 long years. It may be noted that Dilip Saab and Subhash Ghai last worked together in the smash hit Saudagar. Since then the veteran actor has only acted in one film- Umesh Mehra's Qila which released in 1998. Bollywood Hungama spoke to the Showman himself to get some more details on this project. "Yes, it's true that Yusuf Saab and I are contemplating to do a film together. I have been insisting him for the last two years to do a film with me and finally I have managed to convince him. Right now, we are working on the script which should be hopefully ready by December this year. We plan to start filming next year." So what is this film all about and how did he manage to convince Dilip Kumar to return acting after a decade? "The film will be a light entertainer and Dilip Saab will be playing a pivotal role. We are still in the process of finalizing the other cast members. As for convincing Dilip Saab, all I can say is that we share a great comfort level after having worked in 3 films in the past. He trusts me and believes in my directorial abilities. He was clear that he would do the film only if I am directing it", says Mr. Ghai. Finally, coming to his current project Yuvraaj, how much of the shooting is left and when is it likely to release? "I am in the process of finishing Yuvraaj. We have about 3 - 4 days of shooting still left. The music of the film (composed by maestro A.R. Rahman) will be out next month (Oct). I should be able to release the film sometime in November or December this year", signs off the veteran filmmaker. |
