Discover India with NDTV Imagine's 'Indiadhanush'
| New Delhi, March 25 (IANS) "Indiadhanush", NDTV Imagine's new TV show beginning this month, promises to present myriad aspects of the country's rich cultural heritage. The programme beginning March 31 will air Monday to Friday at 12.30 p.m. "People have become so busy in their daily lives that they do not get time to open their eyes to the beauty around them. 'Indiadhanush' will capture the myriad scenes of our rich culture to help our viewers rediscover our own country," Shailja Kejriwal, executive vice president of content at NDTV Imagine, said in a press statement Tuesday. Documentary maker Siddharth Kak is the director of the series and he will host it along with television actor Ami Trivedi. "'Indiadhanush' is a show for the people who love India and will appeal to everyone across all age groups. It is an attempt to highlight the diversity of the country and will showcase a new discovery in each episode, in an entertaining manner," Kak stated. Each episode of the series will focus on varied subjects ranging from history, people, culture, arts and craft, music, dance, folk, wisdom and philosophy, Fascinating stories and fun-filled features on the traditional art of tattooing in India, the varied turbans of Rajasthan, the kebab streets of Lucknow, the unique elephant jewellery and bangle making traditions, dance forms like Kerala's Koodiyatam and Maharashtra's Lavani will be showcased on 'Indiadhanush'. |
