Debojit to appear on Zee's soap 'Kasamh Se'

Mumbai, (IANS) Debojit Saha, who won the

"Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005", makes his acting debut on

Zee TV's daily soap "Kasamh Se".

The special episode will be aired Tuesday.

"It isn't really acting," Debojit told IANS. "Basically I am playing

myself. I'm the 'Sa Re Ga Ma Challenge' winner Debojit and I'll be

appearing for a party sequence where I'll sing that 'Dil Chahta Hai'

ballad 'Tanhayee'," he added.

He enjoyed shooting for the serial.

"It was fun, specially since all the cast and crew are so helpful.

Everyone is nice and cool. I had recorded the track a night earlier.

And lip-synced it for the shooting. Everyone including the soap's

leading man Ram Kapoor liked it so much they all want a copy of my song

on CD."

So, will Debojit be seen more often on such programmes?

"I don't think so. I am doing this only because I get to be and do

what I like to. Basically, I am still ignorant about what I should and

shouldn't do. Thank god for my wife who understands the ways of the

world much better than me. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be anywhere

in life."

Produced by Balaji Telefilms, the serial deals with the trials and

tribulations of three sisters who have lost both their parents and are

forced to take shelter in an industrialist's house who happens to be a

friend of their mother.
