Mumbai, July 22 (IANS) The Shahid Kapur-Vidya Balan starrer "Kismat Konnection" seems to have connected with the audience as it had a encouraging opening collection all over. The film budgeted at nearly Rs.200 million collected Rs.270 million worldwide till Sunday. The movie collected a revenue of Rs.207.6 million at the domestic box-office, averaging Rs.375,000 per print. The movie was released across 720 screens in India.

Mumbai, July 21 (IANS) Filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt says that his next film "Raaz - The Mystery Continues" is not a sequel to 2005 hit starring Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea but is inspired by Hollywood suspense-horror "The Omen". "The film can be termed as a supernatural thriller on the lines of Hollywood's 1976 movie 'The Omen' starring Gregory Peck and Lee Remick. But the story is not exactly the same," Bhatt told IANS.

Mumbai, July 21 (IANS) Bollywood, India's Rs.96 billion ($ 2.3 billion) film industry, has taken a beating due to rising prices. "The rise in petrol and diesel prices affects the industry. The making of a film involves lot of travelling and with the increased fuel price the budget shoots up. As a result the cost of production goes up," filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani told IANS.

Mukesh Khanna plans an animation series on 'Shaktimaan'

Mumbai, July 20 (IANS) TV actor Mukesh Khanna is planning an animation series on his small screen superhero serial "Shaktimaan" and says it'll make the character immortal. "The animation film on 'Shaktimaan' is expected to be out in one-and-a-half year," Mukesh, who not only played the title role in it but also produced it, told IANS. "I was planning it for quite some time because an animation film makes a character immortal and I want to take 'Shaktimaan' to that level," he added.
