Sonu Nigam's 'Rafi Resurrected' tour in UK

By Bollywood Hungama News Network Last week Sonu Nigam was with his new album 'Rafi Resurrected' on tour in UK. He was accompanied by the worldwide acknowledged and award winning City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) with its conductor Michael Seal. The grand finale of the tour took place on July 20th in London Coliseum which was completely sold out. In front of the mostly Indian audience and supported by the female singer Gunjan Singh, Sonu Nigam sang 16 songs of the highly adored Indian singer Mohammad Rafi, who passed away in 1980.

Mumbai, July 18 (IANS) Zubin Mehta, the internationally acclaimed Los Angeles-based music conductor of Indian origin, will enthral his fans at a series of charity concerts here in October. The Oct 7-12 concerts, to be held under the auspices of the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation (MMMF), are to raise money for a music school that the 72-year-old maestro is planning to start in Mumbai. While four concerts will be held at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre, the mega-charity event will be held at the Brabourne Stadium Oct 11, an MMMF spokesperson told IANS.

By Venkata Vemuri London, July 15 (IANS) Popular Indian playback singer Sonu Niigaam has tied up with a Birmingham-based musical company for a three-concert tour of Britain in memory of legendary singer Mohammad Rafi. The singer and the City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) will stage three shows on their joint project "Rafi Resurrected" - a tribute album to Rafi, who gave innumerable Bollywood hit songs in the 1950s-80s.

When she fell ill after rigorous rehearsals for their much talked about 'Unforgettable' world tour that kicks off in Toronto Friday, Abhishek learnt her steps too. "We have been rehearsing for the tour non-stop for nearly a month now.
