While there is reasonable curiosity to see a film which is the first ever when it comes to telling the story of a bona fide rock band, the film also has Farhan Akhtar as a special attraction who makes his debut as a lead actor as well as a singer. What has turned Rock On further special is the fact that it's music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has become popular amongst the urban masses even though some of the initial reviews were far more complimentary.

Mumbai, Aug 28 (IANS) "Dil Kabaddi" is Irrfan Khan's first full-on film on sexual politics and he says he liked the idea of playing a man who's sexually adventurous. The actor was so kicked by the character of the philanderer in "Dil Kabaddi" that he swapped roles with Rahul Bose. "I like the thought of being a man who's sexually adventurous. I haven't played a character like this before. I'm not going to pretend. 'Dil Kabaddi' is a film strictly for adults. And we shouldn't shy away from saying this," Irrfan told IANS.

'Mukhbiir' a spy film blended with emotions: Mani Shankar

Mumbai, Aug 28 (IANS) Director Mani Shankar, known for his techno-savvy films like "16 December", is ready with his fourth Hindi movie "Mukhbiir" which releases Friday. Unlike his earlier films, he says he has been able to blend plot, characters, research and emotions really well. Shankar admits his earlier ventures were guilty of too much research and too little emotions. "I admit to this. There was an overt focus on plot. One lives and learns. In 'Mukhbiir', I've been able to create a fine blend of plot and characters and research and emotions," Shankar told IANS.

New Delhi, Aug 27 (IANS) Beauty queen Neha Dhupia was tagged a 'sex symbol' after the portrayal of a prostitute in "Julie", but she feels the image is now fading. "I'm happy with the kind of films I am getting, and, yes, the 'sex symbol' tag that I had got after 'Julie' is fading," Neha, who turns 28 Wednesday, told IANS. Recently she was seen doing a variety of roles - she played a homely Gujarati girl in "Chup Chup Ke" and an ad executive in "Delhii Heights". She was also seen in critically acclaimed "Mithya" and hit gangster movie "Shootout At Lokhandwala".

Mumbai, Aug 24 (IANS) Actress Shilpa Shetty says she couldn't recognise her former "Celebrity Big Brother" housemate Jade Goody when she saw her at the second season of "Bigg Boss" - "she had changed so much". Jade scorched headlines for making racial comments against Shilpa in Britain's reality show "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2007. She came to India to participate in the second season of Indian version of "Bigg Boss" last week, but left after she was detected with cancer.
