TV actor finds Padmini Kolhapure's tips useful
| Mumbai, Aug 31 (IANS) TV actor Vinod Singh of "Ayushmaan" fame is making his big screen debut with "Daughter", which is the comeback film of yesteryear's actress Padmini Kolhapure, and says working with her is a learning experience. "It was a lifetime experience to work with such a senior actress like Padmini Kolhapure. The inputs from her helped me a lot to improve my performance," said Vinod. The story revolves around a childless couple played by Padmini and Ayub Khan. "It is a film on child adoption where I play the lead role. In the film, Padmini and Ayub Khan are advised by their friend to adopt a kid, but they are against the idea. At that point I come into the picture and help them to understand the idea of adoption. They finally adopt a daughter," Vinod told IANS. Vinod, who played title role in Sony TV's "Ayushmaan", says being seen on small screen often lessen one's chance of getting good roles in movies. "I'm no more interested in television and have completely left it as I want to concentrate on films," said Vinod who has featured in over 180 commercials. "But it was my Close-Up ad with big smile that got me the film. Director Viju Mane saw my Close-up ad and got in touch with me and offered me the role," he said. Vinod has acted in various shows like "Amber Dhara" for Sony TV and "Ghar Ek Sapnaa" for Sahara, among others. |
